THE STORY

When you look at it that way, it makes complete sense for a craft beer pioneer to collaborate with a trailblazing watchmaker.
We both share a passion for our respective crafts, a commitment to sustainability, and a loyal pledge to authenticity. It’s a collaboration for a timepiece and man, is it special.
Each New Belgium Chrono is a true one-of-a-kind, handmade with reclaimed staves from the actual foeders used to ferment New Belgium’s Wood Cellar Reserve. The Wood Cellar is home to the oldest, continuous souring culture in the country, and these foeders - essentially massive wooden barrels made from French Oak – are the deciding factors in creating a superb sour ale.
The Wood Cellar Reserve series is made up of a selection of rare, small batch wild and sour ales expertly aged by the most award-winning sour brewery in America. Each batch is hand-bottled, conditioned over a number of months, and 100% naturally carbonated. It’s a painstaking process, but out of it comes liquid perfection.
That same attention to detail, that relentless focus on making it just right, is at the core of everything we do at Original Grain, and that now includes the New Belgium Chrono.
Sumptuous New Belgium foeder barrel wood is the star of the show, but the supporting cast also shines. Matte black metal frames the foeder wood, while the stately black case and New Belgium specialty branding ensure a handsomely bold statement will be made, with a Miyota 6S21 movement keeping you right on time. And for a surprisingly functional final touch, the packaging turns into a 4-pack bottle carrier with a leather strap.
